Interior Define Collaborates with Jason Wu on New Furniture Line
Interior Define, the direct-to-consumer furniture shop, is going high fashion with its most recent collaboration. The company, which is all about letting people customize the fit and fabric on dozens of seats, sofas, and bed frames, tapped fashion designer Jason Wu for a sleek new line of furniture.
The Jason Wu Collection, the designer’s first foray into furniture, includes a chair, loveseat, ottoman, three-seat sofa, and two sectionals that put a contemporary spin on classic midcentury modern style.
All of the pieces have an exposed wood frame and legs that are capped with brass to give the furniture a touch of modernity. “I wanted a slight reference to one of my favorite eras—the ’40s and ’50s—with a modern spin,” Wu said. “With this collaboration, I wanted to create a new classic.”
Like all Interior Define furniture, Wu’s pieces are customizable in more than 65 different fabrics (though Wu says the design was inspired by black velvet). The furniture starts at $999 for an accent chair and goes up to $2,199 and beyond for a sectional.
